About Ideabanking

Generally people join an idea community to influence change indirectly using their brainpower, or to demonstrate their value and be invited to directly participate in the launch of an idea. some people want to be in on the action of launching an idea. others would just like to influence the action.

Some of the specific reasons for joining an idea community include:

  1. to change or influence future actions and events;
  2. to gain credibility as a thinker;
  3. to build support for a vision;
  4. to provoke thought and discussion on problems;
  5. to demonstrate why they should be included in launching the idea;
  6. to learn and be stimulated by collective intelligence.
Many people join an idea community because they have surplus ideas and cannot stop what they're doing to launch the idea, so they are hoping others might run with their brilliant thoughts. Some believe great ideas are the result of a flow of thoughts and it is important to put your thoughts into the flow, like participating in democracy. Many other people join an idea community so they can demonstrate how smart they are, build up credibility as a creator and participate in the launch of a big idea which could allow them to get paid, travel, change the world, become important and well-known.

It takes all kinds of people to make a diverse idea community. If you have any ideas on how we can make this idea community smarter, better, more diverse...please let us know.
